Trust me, I'm the last man on earth who wants to actually agree with the Spleen about anything but I saw the reformed Pop Group last year too, and they were absolutely great.
Swans however, were dull as dishwater. So good not to have agree too much.

Aw, man... so I guess it ain't worth the ¥6000 to see Swans when they hit Tokyo in March? Just when I thought I could get excited about seeing a gig for once.

I saw Swans a couple of months ago, and I thought they were excellent! Best gig I've seen for a good while.
See, when there were rumours last year, that ATP was coming to Japan, I bet that it would be a buncha ATP regulars but none that I particularly liked (i.e. no Shellac) with all the Japanese bands that are more famous in American than in Japan. And I was totally right. Only Acid Mothers Temple is missing.
