Belated comment, but I've come round to Moore in recent years. He used to really annoy me (his TV show was awful), but its a necessary populism that he pulls off well - has there ever been a 'serious' documentary that hit no.1 at the US box office? While the whole issue was still raging and being 'disinfoed' everywhere else?
He's not Werner Herzog, Adam Curtis or Frederic Wiseman (the best documentary-maker ever IMHO) but at his best Moore cuts the shit and says what's what.
