hmmm, tricky, but let's go with: 1. Fucked Up - Hidden World 70+ minute hardcore punk album? Poison Idea with the ideas of Tool? Fantastic...
and the rest in no particular order:
Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today Wolves In The Throne Room - 2 Hunters Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster - II Clutch - From Beale Street to Oblivion Witchcraft - The Alchemist Turisas - The Varangian Way
(non-metal section) New Model Army - High Ween - La Cucaracha Holy Fuck - Holy Fuck
The High On Fire has a great sound, but is for some reason for me, totally forgettable...
To tell the truth, I've not bought a great many albums this year - I'll probably spend the next 6 of months mopping up what I've missed - esp. this Profound Lore business, from what I've heard I'll definitely be checking out some of 'dat shit'. Innit?
the high on fire took me a while..it just kept coming up on i-tunes. it's durectly after Herbie Hancock's Sextent which i listen to a LOT so it kind of snuck up on me...right i'm off to check up on some of that stuff then...NMA? Ween??? you shamless bugger!
